Kuragehime 5

And once again, we're back to the always lovely Kuragehime. Now with extra Clara!

Clara is yet another reason that this anime is awesome.

Well, the plot hasn't gotten any less turbulent. Shu's virginity has a new challenger, Tsukimi's emotions have run rampant, and we learn yet another thing that activates the sisterhoods turning to stone defence mechanism.

Kuranosuke's reaction to this realisation is somewhat priceless.

The rest of the sisterhood are now getting Kuranosuke's "treatment" now too, although it seems we'll have to wait till next time to see the results on Chieko and Jiji.

I'm also starting to wonder if we'll ever see their resident mangaka. I kind of want to, but to be fair their entire character development so far is based around the fact that they never emerge from the abyss.

I think I'm kind of starting to feel not too sorry for Shu any more though, he kind of brought what happened on himself by judging so heavily by appearance and Tsukimi has only suffered for that too. I guess I still kind of hope he doesn't get taken for a ride by that woman, he still kind of seems more uptight than a bad person at all.

It's difficult to sympathise with a character who only seems to be out to get men in high places in the sack for all the wrong reasons (see: bribery, secrets, etc.). In fact, it's apparently her job.

Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector 1 to 7

Okay, I have to say this before anything else - I love this anime's opening. Nothing matches its energy at the moment.

Putting my arguable taste in music aside, this grin is accepting challengers.

I can't say I was a big fan of previous super robot taisen anime. They were slow and boring and had annoying CG that didn't give any feeling of potential. With this one... It started incredibly promising. Incredibly.

Nothing like a really giant robot to start an anime about giant robots.

It's definitely had a few cool moments since, but the plot has begun to drag a little. Fortunately, the battle scenes have stayed good. The animation is pretty much my motivation for watching this now.

I mean... Fan service like below is the only other reason I could think of anyone having. I personally prefer my fan service in giant robot form. I guess this has both though?

It also has engrish fan service.

I think not many people really have much interest in this anime though, so I'll mostly be blogging battle scenes when I do blog it - since even if you don't care, at least you'll have something "pretty" to look at.

Kuragehime 4

Kuragehime is probably one of the most adorable anime's I've ever had the luck to follow.

Even the opening is so instantly endearing.

It's difficult to pinpoint where its charm comes from. I think it's really just everything about it. Tsukimi's innocence, Kuranosuke's natural persistence in sticking with her despite the no-men rule of the sisterhood. Cross-dressing doesn't really let him pass when she knows, even if he's managing to fool the rest of its members. Who themselves are all fun and endearing in their own way.

Chieko's kimono obsession takes the spotlight this episode.

Well, this episode was potentially the best so far, and that's saying something with an anime that was already great. After the afformentioned kimono obsession works its magic, a trip to the aquarium that was at first supposed to satisfy Tsukimi's love of Jellyfish turns into a different scenario completely.

I guess the first three episodes have really just been setting this moment up. It feels like this is where the story really begins. I'm not sure whether to feel sorry for Tsukimi being caught up in this situation, for Kuranosuke witnessing this scene, or for his brother for having become so enamoured with the illusion that Kuranosuke has created. Probably all of them at least a little... in given order from most sorry for to least.

Ore no Imouto 7

So, I actually only just started watching this show a couple of days ago. I'll cover episodes 1-6 in a later post, but for now, it's time for episode 7. Anyway, spoilers ahead.

First off, I can't be the only person who thought "KIRABOSHI!" in this scene.

Sure the gesture's slightly different, but I couldn't help myself.

The show pretty much doesn't let up pace, and culminates in yet another scene that's incredibly powerful indeed. And once again, Kirino's exact feelings towards Kyousuke seem a little iffy. But honestly, for all the unsavory topics this anime alludes to, I really think that it's nothing more than the natural love between siblings emerging between the two of them. I mean, they're kind of making up for a lot of lost time really.

A scene that captures everything great about this anime.

Kirino and "Kuroneko" (I don't think we even have her real name yet) probably reach a new high in their rivalry/friendship/conflict in this episode too. I know everyone says they're getting along great, but I kind of wonder if it's really going to end well between them easily - Well, chances are Kyousuke will save the day again. Those two girls really are two sides of the same coin.

I'm kind of interested to see just how far they'll take this novel writing plot. I have a feeling there's probably just one more episode in it seeing as filler is pretty much nonexistant. I'm really glad I took the time to catch up with this now.

My void of Anime

Hello and welcome.

I've made various blogging endeavours over the years, but this is probably my most ambitious and the one I've put that extra mile into getting right.

This blog is predominantly going to be about Anime, in particular, the anime that I am watching.

EPISODIC BLOGGING!

Yep, I'm going down that road.

I need to throw a thanks out to Impz at T.H.A.T Anime Blog for his helpful tips for the aspiring anime blogger. I've had this idea floating around for a while, but reading his tips helped me organise my thoughts.

My void of anime consists of three things.

One: This blog. You are already here.

Two: Twitter. See right. Chances are you might have followed it here. This'll be a feed of everything in its simplest form.

Three: Tumblr. Link is on the right too.

That's the plan anyway. Triple exposure is always good.

So, welcome, enjoy your stay, and I hope you find it worth it.
